" The love of gardening is a seed that once sown never dies."
  Gertrude Jeykll.

hello john ( and shaun, mark, darren and part time pete )
I would  just like to put on record how delighted i am with the finished result of my garden.  I keep looking at it almost in disbelief at the transormation to an easily managed garden which looks fantastic . I don"t think you quite realised how terrified i was when you first put forward your ideas , but they really do work . My neighbours and friends also think its fantastic .
Thank you again for all your hard work and ability to make my hard-work garden into a delightful, enjoyable , easily managed space .

Sylvia ..... October 2007

PS  .. I  am writing separately to Mike Lawson  regarding the  electrical work and  lighting which is  also  fantastic.

hi john,
thank you so much for your help the other weekend with choosing plants, and coming up with the idea of putting plants in the water feature in the Japanese area.
I have  been looking at the garden in Normanby and it looks  great ( as expected from yourselves ),can"t wait to see the rest of the  photos of the  finished product on the  web.
I keep promising to write to you for a " client testimonial " so here  goes .

We have a garden that we would never have been able to create for ourselves thanks to John and  his team. At the design stage ,John showed the garden with all paving, and my heart sank as i thought it would be too much, but then he talked the design through and I was a lot happier. Work started in October and by the time it was finished  Christmas had come  early for  us ! I was a bit concerned about a curved wall being built in front of the conservatory and  John talked me through it . In the end i  decided he was the  expert and the designer and could see exactly what he wanted in his head so go with his plans . John and his team worked very hard and had to  contend with bad weather in October / november 2006.

The  garden definitely has the WoW factor for us  and also with friends and neighbours who have seen it since . The garden has developed well in 2007 and we still  love it. John has been round and helped us choose more plants for one of the water features and to fill out some of the  containers ( you do need money when John is around , but he spends it wisely ).

We did  get quotes from other companies who came up with a " design " that comprised of stone circles that we could have come up with from B & Q for about £90.00, new  grass, new  fence and some lighting . The prices they were  quoting for this  basic " design " were  either on a par or more than John quoted. If you are looking at Johns  web site and are inspired by his creations , don"t even bother going to anyone else for a quote. We have  far  more in our garden, ie 3 separate sections , from John and his design, than any of the other companies offered.

We would definitely recommend John and his team , and are saving up to get him back to do something with our drive  and front garden.

well, what words can i use to  describe the new outlook, magnificent, breathtaking or just simply out of this world. The transformation is truly wonderful. We will certainly enjoy our new garden for many  years to come . The sledgehammer has gone back into its  box , i knew Wendy wouldn"t use it , although i am not sure you weren"t  keeping your fingers crossed that the wall was still standing every time you came round .
Thank you and the crew  for a fantastic job.
all  the best

John is not just a Garden Designer but an Artist who works with gardens as his canvas.

He changed the way we use our house, now we have another room, the most exiting room that changes with the seasons. Its fun for the boys, vibrant to look at and sounds  beautiful. It is so relaxing listening to the movement of the grasses, the flowing water and watching the swaying of the plants.

From every back window in the house, I enjoy the pleasure of looking outside,it always brings a smile. It has been the best use of our money, not only has it added value to our house(at least twice its cost)it has also added value to our daily lives.

Not all "Garden Designers" have Johns passion and commitment. He wants his customers to get the garden of their dreams- he delivers this and much more.

Recommendation of Johns work comes with the greatest respect.

John,we thank you very much for your patience and your passion.
We made a great team!!!
Everyone loves our garden, and we both look forward to years of pleasure to come, and also to seeing you again.

About five years ago John created both front and rear gardens at a house we owned in Cambridge Rd , Middlesbrough. We have now purchased an apartment in The Mount, York and have recently asked him to survey the site and produce a rear garden that will give us as much pleasure as the previous project.

Dear John,
This is to say a very big THANK-YOU to you and your team. My new "outside" is fabulous. I appreciate all the hard work (and gravel) that you put into this project.
It is all much better than I ever imagined it could be and has now given me a calm and peaceful space instead of an unapproachable jungle. I am sure the frogs will be happy too !
Words are difficult to choose to express what I think but am sure that an alphabet of superlatives would be very easy to achieve.
From the initial vision to the little things like clothes line and bird feeders- it has been a wonderful expression and experience.
    Yours
